So we've only had our system about 1 week but yesterday we had a 3 hour internet outage and for some odd reason, when the internet restored I noticed our SoC had dropped from 87% charge to 7% (between 3pm and 6pm).
We definitely had not used 80% battery during the time and were actively charging from Solar when it cut off.
When I checked my regular smart meter I can see at the time the internet cut out we immediately started using energy from the grid. It's as if the system is not able to function without internet access.
Today when the battery was charging from Solar again it charged up to 13% and then suddenly jumped to 100%. So clearly the battery had high SoC than it was reporting.
I've raised this to GivEnergy support email address but no reply yet.
Has anyone else seen this happen?
Is it normal for the system to basically cease to function correctly without Internet access and then loss large amounts of battery storage?
Not exactly a great first impression to this product!
