Can not Set Up Smart Plug

Hi, I have got 4x GivEnergy Smart plugs. I follow the set up process and all seems to go fine BUT when it gets to the Submit WIFI page it just says Error - and restart the process. I have tried with all 4 plugs in different places and always the same. I am using iPhone on iOS 16.1.
Please help.

UPDATE..
I tried on an iPad in iOS15.6.1 and it all worked fine !!!
THEREFORE THE PROBLEM is PROBABLY iOS 16.
The firmware on the SmartPlug needs to be updated for compatibility.

I have six and set them all up with iOS 16 on an iPhone, so I don't think the issue is as simple as an iOS 16 issue.

Hi, a little late in responding and I had the same issue iOS 16.1.2.

I needed to change the iOS app security to 'allow location while using the app' to register the smart plug. Will change it back to 'never' when I've registered the other one's I've received.
