Can someone please help me understand my consumption?

I can see that we've consumed 3700W and that we've imported 3679W from the grid. They as good as balance one another out. I'm basically still getting all my electricity from the grid... not what I want at all.

I've generated 1335W with the battery discharging 2558W... but to where? Has this been chucked back into the grid? Why isn't this 2558W used within the house (consumed) resulting in us just using 1121W from the grid...?

This is basically how it works every day... while I may be getting something back from the energy supplier, that does not in any way offset the cost were paying to import the energy. But it only says I've exported 138W... I don't understand...

This seems masively counter productive to me and inefficient...

Hopefully I'm being a bellend and you can explain to me exactly how I'm being one...

TIA.

Those are the peak POWER values (which are measured in W or Watts) for each of those values (for today?). Power values are for an instant in time.

I think what you are looking for is the ENERGY values (measured in kW.h), which as the name suggests, is the power value multiplied by the time.

In the App. go to the next tab to the right (a small bar chart) and then select each of the six boxes in turn, and read the values displayed in colour at the bottom.

But as others will tell you, the App is not great - apart from the 10 second updates on the home page - if you can get it to work (select 'Home' on the homepage). Using the web portal will probably give you much more insightful information (and a lot more detail, if you want/need it).

Thanks for the help.

Just discovered my 2 x Fox inverters are completely offline... so the PV won't have gone anywhere. I wasn't given the log in details or show how to access their dashboard, so keeping an eye on them is a chore.

I'm getting very bored of having to call my fitters to ask for clarification and for them to look into issues...

I've held back from ousting them, but if they don't get back to me very quickly I'm going full troll on them...!!! £20K on a system is a shit boat load of cash.

It is very common indeed to get very poor service from solar fitters, so don't take it too personally. Try not to burn your bridges too soon, just in case there are genuine issues which you need to get them back for.

And GivEnergy are not much better, I'm sad to say - but the hardware is pretty good, once you have found your way around it - and the App. and the web portal (both of which have their own strengths and weaknesses).

Use your energy instead to learn about your system , from the very diverse and experienced users on here.

BigAl If I were you then I would start with asking your installer for the login details to the Fox dashboard portal an app. If they won't provide then contact the Fox team directly and they should provide the access details, and will most likely help get you online.
There are some thread on the community pages that share the experience of others and the potential actions (i.e. the PV array isolator is switch off, the dc circuit breaker has tripped, etc.).
Unfortunately, ToothyChris is right in that you are better learning what you have and save the installer for any major issues that may come along.
