Has anyone set up the Givenergy smartplug with Android on Google Home, or Google SmartThings. I have sucessfully installed the plug, and it works fine with the Givenergy app, but I can't find a way to get the other apps to see it. I am trying to do this so I can use the Google Assistant to switch it on and off by voice.
I have re-installed it as a smart plug using TCP Smart, and this works and it appears in Home OK and I can control it with my voice, but now the Givenergy app fails to work with it.

Any advice appreciated.

@SteveDooley I'm keen to do this too. Has anyone been able to get GivEnergy plugs to be controlled by Google Home?

GE needs Google Home support full stop.

That's a bit of an oversight, not working with the major smart home assistants. That's the main reason for buying a smart plug!

alexa has some integration with GE - she can tell you battery percentage and generation in kwh , can she control them?

I think that the Givenergy Smart Plugs aren’t quite ready for showtime: I’m not so keen on voice assistants but increasingly interested in Home Assistant support, which isn’t present (AFAIK). Having got a cheaper Zigbee smart plug from another provider which instantly worked with a Conbee gateway I see no reason right now to get more Givenergy plugs.
