Newbie here with 9.5kw of batteries and 13 JA panels, I have enabled the timed charge between 00:30-0430 to make most of the octopus GO rate. I have enabled this via logging into the GivEnergy web dashboard BUT also noticed you can select this via the app as I have entered my tariff details.
Is there any preference to which works the best?

Usually, using the web portal is more reliable than the app for changing settings.

I have found that using the web portal is best as you can see the log of the changes that have been made, so you at least get some comfort that things are set as you want. I tend to make the changes on the inverter widget under the settings tab and then use the cog to access the log. Only takes a small amount of time and you get the immediate feedback.
