Hi I've been told there have been numerous updates to give energy this past week, and that's why my app on my phone is not working, it says my panels are only giving 1w and 2 watt from the grid.
My guy says its my Internet isn't working but every time I check it's got a great dignal.he says that by fitting optimisers it will help on the panels as they are on the wrong side to get the best light.. Is it possible to get a giveenergy surveyor to come and take a look.

Hiya, you're best off emailing them unless someone on here has experienced the same issues as you.
How long has your system been installed for? Was it working ok?
Optimisers help where some panels might be shaded say if there is a tree nearby, but if all the panels are on the same roof next to each other and they all get the sky/sun together (without any of them shaded) optimisers will not do anything, unless a panel is defective.
If you have some panels say on an east roof and some on a west, they should be connected as separate input strings to the the GE inverter (2 inputs on Giv HY 5) and the inverter will do the optimizing between east and west.
If panels are on the same string and some are shaded this will reduce output, but I think GE say you can wire 2 circuits onto a single string to help - but not as good as optimisers ££.
Did your installer think about orientation, shade, strings and circuits when wiring, or are they just spinning a line.
I live in the Pennines and have 14 panels (6 east, 8 west) and today had 2.2kWhr of generation.

I doubt optimisers will do anything for you. There are bypass diodes in all modern panels anyway.
What time of the day are you seeing 1 or 2 Watts? It is the winter. Did you see higher numbers today?
