Hi,
I've just had a new install with PV panels, SolarEdge inverter, GivEnergy AC coupled inverter and 9.5 kWh battery. I've been looking at the readings in the app and have some concerns that the system isn't correctly installed or configured.
The PV side of things looks ok but the readings for home consumption and grid supply look wrong. When compared with the readings from my smart meter, grid consumption as reported in the app looks way to low by 100's of W.
When I was charging the battery up, the app was showing 2.85kW going to battery, house consumption as 0W and supply from grid as 890W. This definitely doesn't add up! When I looked at the smart meter it said that 3.65kW was being consumed.
I'll be on to the installers tomorrow but was just wondering if anyone had any ideas.
Thanks!

First thought would be the CT clamp for the import/export is either the wrong way around, loose, or in the wrong place.

Have a search in here for CT clamp, you'll find it's a common occurrence... 🤦

Are you looking at peak values in the app. Mine are transposed and I have reported this to GE. Check to see if the correct readings are present on the portal and if they are then this is an issue with the app.

We had exactly the same issue. The CT clamp was out of sight so couldn’t check if it was the right way round (after reading numerous blogs about it being a common issue) but when the installers (finally) came back the issue was the wires in the consumer unit had been pushed slightly out of place. When the installer ‘fixed’ it all of the readings were spot on. Our house never showed ‘a load’. Without the smart meter it would have been very difficult to keep tabs in what was actually going on. Don’t waste time getting onto the installer like we did.
