Future additional integration

I know GE are eventually planning to bring out their own charger, but if we have another brand fitted are they planning for any possible additional integration?

For example I’m preconditioning my car this morning, and this is occurring from the battery.

I know the new ME Libbi will allow the battery to be “isolated” so that the car would only draw from the battery if set to do so. I know this is a function probably of the complete integration of the system.

I’m assuming that when GE bring around their charger it would offer similar, but for those with non GE chargers will any options be possible? I know some would require a fully integrated system, but I’m thinking more just the recognition of a charger on the system and a choice not to divert load?

Ge have stated that only if the charger has a fully documented and supported API (of which none currently do) will they even think about supporting in the GE App.
GE have, for over a year the "Smart Device" option in the GE API which is designed to take in power data from all manner of devices (including things like EV Charge Points) if your prepared to setup how you get this power data yourself.
It is however not ready yet and as such although you can setup your own "smart device" and push data to it, it goes into a black hole (and is not displayed onto the graphs)
The evolution of this would presumably be to make "stuff" happen based on what this new external data provides (i.e if "Smart Device Power above X then stop battery discharge")
