I'm looking to buy one, (I want to work out how much power my washing machine uses).
Where have other people bought them from? I see they are sold for around £10, which is quite reasonable, but then shipping doubles the price.
GivEnergy smart plugs

NSR2 here you go - https://buy.stripe.com/5kAbJI1GLeQj9YQfZ6. This is the link I have published on the FB group. Around 2500 sold.

I use these MyLocalBytes which look like exactly the same outer casing as the GivEnergy ones - so possibly the same hardware? Extensive energy monitoring, totally solid firmware. I've not had any problems with them.
Note these ones come with Tasmota firmware so intended for use with Home Assistant etc; not standalone.
It's a UK company; support is superb.
I think the confusion with the GE ones might be just a lack of clear instructions. The configuration procedure is the same with the MyLocalBytes ones: out-the-box they have their own Wifi network with no password. You connect to that using your mobile phone, then browse to the fixed IP address (printed on the package). And then you can configure the plug to use your own Wifi network.
I've four of them and found very easy to set up. The only issues I have is sometimes they drop out from the app as being offline but appears to be only temporary as a few minutes later all connected again?
