Just been browsing the build and was interested in the black blocks being put into the groundwork on top of a black membrane sheet. Puzzled as to what the blocks are? Look like thermal insulation - just a guess

Crushed batteries & inverters ...

Insulation, judging from the ease with which workers move large blocks of it.
