Climote Smart Immersion Controller

Just came across this on Octopus Smart Energy Innovator Products and thought it might be of interest to some people.

It links in with Octopus Tariffs and appears to offer at least, some of the functionality that the Mixergy Hot Water Cylinder offers - tank capacity of hot water. What else it can, or cannot, do isn't particularly clear to me......

I have filled in the Site Survey and interested to know what comes from this.

Will it work with an Eddi (or alternative solar immersion diverter)
How do they intend to attach the temperature probes onto High Efficiency Cylinders (like ours is) where the insulation is encapsulated in an outer casing.

Will update once I know more.

Just had a response from Climote.

This is what it does:

Links in with energy provider Tariffs - Octopus, Scottish Power, Pinergy (Ireland)

They attach 3 temperature probes to your tank so you can see the level of hot water / stratification in your cylinder on the controller or in the app.

It does not provide any further functionality.........

It is of little benefit if you already have a Solar Immersion Diverter.
