Hi All,
First list so be gentle.
I’ve had solar installed a week ago. We have
GivEnergy 5kw inverter
GivEnergy 9.5 battery
16 panels (400w each)
Solar I boost
Somethjng isn’t right with the recording of the solar generation. On a sunny day they system is generating above 5kw but the house loads tracks with the generation and the app and online portal both say the house draw is around 4.8kw.
There is nothing on if significant load in the house to cause this but the trend keeps occurring.
When the battery dies then decide to charge, it will charge at about 2.4Kw and the remainder is reporting as on house consumption.
I’ve turned the iboost spur off incase that was pulling excess but it’s made no difference.
I should note that the house does have 3 phase power with the solar connected to the first phase. Only the first phase is used in the house with the other 2 spare. The breakers for those are turned off so nothing is drawing from them.
I’m in contact with my installer and the sparky is out on Monday but I just wondered if anyone had experienced something like this.
I’m sure it’s wired wrong and the solar generation is being incorrectly identified as house draw. The ct clamp is on the L1 cable between the meter and breaker.
Thanks
