Just installed solar system.

I use octopus go and podpoint charger.

My podpoint charger is set to charge between 00:30 - 04:30 everyday so if I plug it in at night it will charge those house as the night rate.

Ideally if I have not plugged in the EV then the GivEnergy Battery will charge .

But this will not happen unless I select the Smart Tariff automation whenever I do not want to charge the car. My ideal scenario is that the battery fills up overnight when the car is not being charged and is then topped up during the day so when darkness hits the battery is used up.

Unfortunately when I want to fill the car I have to stop the automation so the car is filled. Then start the automation again in the morning so the battery again fills up during the day.

I have managed to confuse myself so I hope this makes some sense. Can this be done?

Use the eb portal.
Set the inverter in Eco Mode
Set a Timed Charge for the cheap period and a desired (GE) battery SoC. That will charge the house battery during the cheap rate. If the car is plugged in then it will charge as well.
