SMARTPLUG was working fine, now it is constantly on/off

Hi,

I've a GivEnergy smart plug that worked fine connected to a fridge freezer for a month or so. Now it constantly turns itself on and off (mostly off with a brief second of on and showing the blue light). Is there a way to reset it or is this behaviour likely to be a fault plug.

Any insight welcomed.

Sounds faulty to me, almost like a when you used to get a duff relay in cars.

I don’t know how these are made though so I’d check with GE.

The fridge/freezer doesn’t have an inverter motor does it? Also I assume you have tried turning the plug off at the wall, waiting 30 seconds the seeing the the same occurs?
