I have just changed to Octopus eco 7 tariff (not fixed yet) just wondering on the GivEnergy cloud smart tariff “card?” Only shows one rate is that the average of the night rate and day rate or should it show both . I might even be reading it wrong.

When I changed to Economy 7 with Octopus it took a while to get it right. Have you checked your smart meter to make sure both registers (peak and off peak) are working. They told me I had swapped over, but the backroom boys had missed doing something to set the meter up and I was only using peak power. I gave them a ring - explained that nothing was going to the off peak register on my smart meter and they got right on to it

Smart meter on the in home display shows each rate at the right time so between 07:30 - 00:30 if I look shows peak rate and if I look before 07:30 shows night rate.

I've just checked back at my data - it just showed the peak rate tariff, even for when I was charging off peak. I think if you want to see the split between peak and off-peak you need to download the data straight from Octopus into a spread sheet that multiplies the kw used by the right price per hour. I don't think Economy 7 works as a "smart tariff" in the same way as Agile, Go, Cosy or Flu where prices are calculated every half hour to give a true total for the day. But, other people here are more computer savvy than me and may be able to suggest alternatives

Thank you Karen that explains it nothing wrong with setup or data.

Ditto that , many past posts including me saying octopus were charging the wrong amounts on eco7. mine was wrong for weeks and weeks. constant calls and promises it would be put right.

I can see the 2 rate tariff on my Octopus account and showing on my smart remote display just not on the GivEnergy cloud so hopefully I am on the correct tariff but hard to tell at the moment as not using much grid power this is winter set up.
