If I switch to Octopus Agile tariff and enter my API Mpan etc into the battery inverter settings will the GivEnergy controller automatically start to decide when to charge to take advantage of the cheaper timeslots? Or will I have to decide and enter them somewhere? At present I can't see how you can use ECO mode during the day to charge the battery from PV and timed charge at other times. Anyone achieved this without going into APIs which I don't really understand.

Thanks
Paul

Octopus r&d is probably the easiest, see other threads about that. Although at the moment it is broken at Octopus’s end.

There’s other solutions out there too, perhaps using addons to home assistant. Can’t recall the details but you should be able to find the details somewhere in the forum.
