I noticed when forcing a battery discharge via the mobile app, the displayed home consumption increases (from approx 250W to 600W in my example). I checked on the power graph and it didn't change and also noticed the flow from the Solar was going to Home and Grid despite the Solar generation being less than the indicated Home consumption. This suggests to me it is a display error on the Home Dashboard
Has anyone else noticed the same behaviour?

A complete guess, but could it be it the inverter itself needs more power to export at a high discharge rate Vs when it is doing not very much?

I did consider that however because the live power graph didn't show the increase in home consumption my thoughts are that is is an error in the displayed value no the home dashboard.

click the second settings gear (below the 'away' button), is the 'show calculated load' option turned on? if so, this means that any losses incurred by the inverter are bundled into the consumption value on that display to make all the numbers add up

I'm afraid that is all part of the inverter losses, outputting from DC to AC. You also get losses going the other way too. If fact I actually measured the losses going both ways on my gen1 inverter in the evening without solar, with full import taking out the house load, and the same on full export taking out the house load. Added the losses together, and as a percentage of the max import and export at 2600w, it worked out at 19.25%.
Hence on flux, it's not economic to download 2-5am to export it back, as you'll lose 2p per kw on the conversion. Better to fill your battery with solar and export the surplus when it's full.

Thanks. I can confirm is is showing the calculated load and your explanations make sense.
