limiting max charge percent from pv for battery long

1. I would like to stop pv charging at 85 percent to extend battery life.
   I cannot see a user way of doing this.
   We need a way to adjust this.
   I will not need full capacity in summer.

You can change the bottom buffer but not the top buffer here in the beta portal

I'll let GivEnergy comment officially but I would be surprised if having a top buffer offers any longevity benefits in a LiFePO4 chemistry battery.

If you look at the recommendations Tesla give for their newer, smaller capacity battery fitted to the SR+ which shares the same chemistry, they explicitly recommend charging to 100% regularly. This is different advice to Lithium ion batteries which tend to suffer less degradation over time when operated in the middle of their range.

When will givenergy reply as to the best limits to give max battery life?
