I have recently acquired an EV (MG) and a Zappi2 EV Charger. This does not show on my dashboard on the GE Cloud site but there is a "Tab" that states "+Add EV charger to Tab". When I click on this it disappears from my screen but does not appear in any Tabs anywhere. In simple language please (I am no electrician nor electronic whizz kid) can I I add my Zappi to the GE Dashboard? The Zappi app works OK and even shows me my house consumption of energy. Thank you in advance for any advice. John.

My understanding is that you cannot add third-party chargers.

Lots of us have a Zappi and it works fine, but you cannot add it to the givenergy app or cloud. If you have got the required CT clamps in the right place it becomes part of the load. You control the Zappi through the Myenergi app as normal. Search this forum for Zappi and you will find lots of info on how to set it up.

Our battery shows up fine in the myenergi app, so whilst you can’t add it to the GE, the inverter /battery (hybrid) or inverter and battery (solar plus AC/AIO)

Its a shame, because the Zappi (Latest firmware at least) complies with the comms standard OCPP, so you would have though integratable - but perhaps its not at that level as such!

What is OCPP
OCPP is a standardised form of communication for EV charging infrastructure, regardless of manufacturer. It was created to allow compatibility between EV chargers and management software to enable greater convenience and choice for consumers.
