Not for the first time there appears to be a massive difference in the draw from the grid between the Octopus App and the GivEnergy app.
Yesterday, for example, Octopus shows I used 40kw from the grid, yet the GivEnergy app shows 12. The day before Octopus shows nearly 34kw yet the GE app shows 8.4.
Is the measurement on the CT clamp so bad?
Without being able to see exactly where you are getting the readings from its difficult to even speculate..
I never use the app for this I always use the portal data. However, having just had a look.. it's broken by the look of it. I can't even change dates, it insists on giving me an old data... Update... However, switching to monthly view and then going back to daily appears to refresh it.
Do you have an EV?
That’s an awfully big difference.
For yesterday mine is pretty close.
That'd either say the CT clamp isn't monitoring the right thing, or the smart meter and giv energy are seeing very different figures somehow. For me, they look near enough spot on (to within 0.01kwh)
No EV. So the CT clamp is not working properly?
