EV Charger app settings

I'm a bit confused by the app settings - I want to set the EV charger to charge ONLY from the grid, so all solar goes in to the batteries and battery charge isn't used for the car.

There seem to be 2 settings for this - on the "Standard" page under Charging you can set to Grid, but when I do that the app shows nothing going from the PV to the battery. On the Advanced (Beta) page if I enable Solar-split and set to 100% (slider slid to the far right-hand side) it then disables the Grid setting on the Standard page.

Does anyone have any idea which is the correct setting? It would obviously be easier to test in the summer when there's plenty of solar being generated!

I have found the EV settings very tricky to navigate too and ended up ignoring the settings in the mobile app and only using those from the web portal. It has allowed me to get some settings and configurations working as I would like but the behaviour of the system is still confusing and unpredictable.
I hope GE can re-evaluate the UX and improve the simplicity... at the moment i think there are TOO MANY options for configuration and control and most of us simply wouldnt want or need them
