Has the format of the download from the Energy Graph recently changed?
I use Power Query to analyse my energy usage and the performance of the system by downloading the daily report from the Energy Graph tab and using that with Power Query and Excel.
As of today the data format seems to have changed and I'm not sure whether this is the download from the portal or whether it is a change that has happened in Excel / PowerQuery.
As far as I can tell the download used to come as an Excel Worksheet with a single worksheet named 'Sheet 1'
When I download now I seem to get a CSV file with a single worksheet with the worksheet name reflecting the day such as 'Energy Flows Data 2024-01-22-20'
PowerQuery relies on the worksheet name being the same for each workbook that is added so I can overcome the problem by saving the worksheet as an Excel Workbook and renaming the worksheet to Sheet 1 and then saving it into the folder with all the other daily downloads but it has taken a few hours to establish that this workaround seems to work and I'm trying to figure out where and when the change happened (so i know who to curse as much as anything, but also to consider whether there may be an easier way to fix the problem).
Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
And if it is a change to the format that the daily reports use then is there any possinbility of an option being provided to select the old fomat?
