Hi My inverter went "offline" sometime last night.
I ended up having to restart it on the control panel in the dashboard. Is there any warning for such an event? Why does this happen? The battery didn't charge as instructed. so just curious.

It sounds like your inverter lost internet connectivity?
Somtimes if wifi connected, it just happens. The AIO’s do seem to be prone to losing connectivity even if wired with an Ethernet cable. There is a comms patch that some people have had applied.
Your battery not charging, depends how it was instructed. If you had programmed it using the givenergy app or portal then the inverter should have charged as normal. If you’re using a cloud service like wonderwatt etc then no internet=no remote control possible.
If you have home assistant you can write scripts to detect the inverter (or more likely GivTCP) going offline
I'm using wonderwatt at the moment. Thanks for the info!
