I’m new here so forgive me if I’m doing something wrong.
My charger has been set to config C and to charge when excess solar is available.
But it’s not charging at all even though the requirement (from what I understand was met) was met.
The excess which is over 1.4 kw is just going back to the grid.
Am I understanding this wrong or missed a setting somewhere?

I'm in the same boat expect mine is on config D. As far as I can tell solar mode simply does nothing. I emailed support on Saturday so I will let you know when I hear back
Sorry, I don't have a GE chargepoint so can't really help. One thing that might go wrong is if you use the car's charging timer to charge overnight, and that's preventing it from charging now?
From a quick look at the app docs, there's a mode (eco +) where it will pull from grid if necessary to charge at at least 6A. If you temporarily choose that mode, does the car start charging? That would would confirm that everything is plugged together correctly and that the car is willing to accept charge.
I think I’ve found the issue in case anyone else's doesn’t work.
I did a factory reset and set it up again. This time though I noticed it saying turn off mobile data on the phone during set up.
I don’t remember it being there before and I’ve factory reset a few times to get it working (but it may have been or maybe the latest update put it there) Anyway I’m pleased to report it now works! Much happier. I hope this helps others.
