Does anyone know if you can access GivEnergy Smart Plugs with Home Assistant?
I’m new to Home Assistant but they don’t show up anywhere and I have GivTCP on and working.
Someone has suggested pairing them to the Smart Life or Tuya App but I don’t really want to unpair to GivEnergy as I like the interface on the GivEnergy App. I would just like to be able to set an automation with them.
I installed Tuya Local onto HA, left the smart plugs in the GE app, got the keys etc through the GE anpp added the smart plugs to Tuya Local. they show up and report status. I cannot, however, turn them on/off via HA. If I turn them off via GE app or locally from the button HA shows the status instantly, but if I change state through HA it shows as having changed but nothing happens at the plug then the HA status switches back. I use the GE app schedules to control them. Am investigating other options and will post if I get something that works.
