Hi,

I have givenergy gen 1 hybrid with 5kwh battery and the new givenergy charger.

With a new EV, I am trying to track costs and maximise my night rate and export rates, but when I put in the rates, the figures never add up to anything that makes sense.

I am thinking maybe it's the format I enter the rates at, ie do I add the Dec point or does the app automatically assume that you are entering pennies/cents ?

My rates are as follows

Standing charge is 82p per day.
Export rates is 0.25p per kWh
Night rate (2am to 6am) 0.074 per kWh.
Day rate (6am to midnight) 0.34 per kWh.

Can anyone just clarify the format I need to enter, do I use a dec place or not?

Am I supposed to enter .82, .075, .34 for each of the tarrifs ?

Anyone else had problems doing this ?

I've noticed that the app asks for export rate in pounds, but then calculates the amounts using that value in pence, so it is out by a factor of 100. This is only for export rates - for import, the values it asks for and the values it uses are the same.
