EV Charger IP

Does anyone know how to find out which IP address the EV charger has? I want to add it to my home assistant but can’t without that detail

That will depend of what your local DHPC server has assigned it. Normally that would be your router and you would be able to see the IP addresses allocated to devices by logging in to its admin pages.

Alternatively I use a free tool called Advanced IP Scanner to find devices as my network spans two homes thousands of miles apart.

It's very annoying that the GE App doesnt show the IP addresses for your devices and i've complained that the nework name that the GE EVC presents to your router is not intuitive at all....

One option is you , is that if you are using the GivTCP addon for HA, when you start the plug in, it will scan your network and can often show the IP addres for your charger in the add-on log text.

You can then use it to add it to the Add on config (enabling the toggle for EVC) AND also renaming the charger and setting an reserved IP address in your router.

Also, the EVC will have separate IP addresses and network names for both the wifi and ethernet connections.
