The battery and inverter were on pause and we had a short power cut.
The inverter shows a message of backup overload fault.
We don't have the ability to go off grid so not sure why this happened.
Just googling what to do as I wanted to charge the batteries during the negative Agile period?
Anyone got any pointers?
Did a manual restart and that cleared the fault. Now to try and understand EPS. I thought that was islanding and I don't have any of that.
As inverter / batteries were paused really not sure how a power cut caused the error. Batteries now charging at the expense of the grid. I.e. being paid to dump energy into them.
On my Gen 3 Hybrid inverter EPS is a separate output that can power a limited load during a power cut. Ours isn't wired to anything. You need a separate earth rod and a consumer unit to use it.
From my limited reading so far this seems to happen if the system is being asked for too much by the house.
As that was not the case as the system was paused waiting to recharge based upon the excellent agile rates i.e. being paid to charge the batteries.
The power cut seemed to happen when there was a peak of solar and I am wondering if the local exchange (not sure what you call it) couldn't handle the energy being generated by all the local solar panels suddenly upping the power in the area? A WAG.
None of my house breakers flipped so was not tripped from inside.
More research to do.

I had this message after a long power cut last night. I didn't see the notification until this morning when my system wasn't charging from the sun. I did a reset then noticed the error message. The time of the fault was when the electricity supply turned back on. I had my battery set to discharge 0% at the time. I do not have EPS as I have no sockets connected so not sure why I would get this fault.
We had that issue on a power cut recently. Manual eps, we were out when the power cut happened. House on “standby” so only a few hundred watts being drawn.
EPS didn’t work, yet when we got the power back and checked records it said that backup overload fault had occurred? We hadn’t been in the house to turn on the eps, so no idea how it showed a fault. No heavy use items in use at the time either. Reported to GE, heard nothing concrete back yet
I've had this before but it was on an inverter not even hooked up to a battery I think. Can't quite remember what weird state I had it in to do it, but thought "that's weird. I should remember that" but I guess I should write things down more.... something grid EM115 meter related I think.
