Has anyone else got a Solax string inverter? I've got a 5kw one with an AIO and for some reason even though my array is 6kw, the generation on the inverter never goes above 5.5kw. I was lead to believe that the inverter supports oversizing so would I ever see close to 6 or not?
deanjesper a quick look at X1 smart model says 110% AC oversizing (which might explain your 5.5kW output ?) and 150% DC overscaling which probably just means it can tolerate 7.5kW DC without melting. Doesn't mean it can convert it all to AC, though.
The benefit of oversizing the array is that, while there's clipping at noon, you get more power at other times and therefore more energy in total per day.
