I thought I was being helpful by setting up my givenergy account in advance, the installer set up and put my email in, but I haven't received any link to setup, not notification within the app.. did I do wrong or is it just an admin thing they have to do manually?

There's nothing to set up, the account is created normally when your equipment is commissioned. I don't think you get any emails, just access to view your inverter and battery data and change their settings

ANT80 the installer usually creates the account for you. They'll probably use the email address you've been communicating with them on.

Try going here then try a password reset with that email address

Once you login (fingers crossed!) you will hopefully see some notifications about calibration, e.g. started and finished. It'll empty the battery to zero (and keep going till it finds the true zero) then it should charge to 100% (and keep going till it finds the true 100%!).

Once the calibration is set, make sure the system is in eco mode (my inverter portal page, settings part of that page).

Add a timed overnight charge if you have an off peak tariff (although this time of year, maybe not needed)? Set the timed charge for the entire period of your off peak rate.

Set the percentage to charge up to if you want it to be anything other than 100%. Maybe 50% this time of year, or less/more as preferred.

Don't mess around with timed discharge or timed export until you've read the many forum posts here about those features!

TX200 thanks, tried the pass reset. It just took me back to being logged in with no devices registered. Customer service call in the morning I think. My installer had to set off home and said he would call in the morning to get links across. He said it would be power cycling the battery tonight and more interesting tomorrow anyway.
