I had an AIO + Gateway + Gen 3 hybrid inverter and two aspect solar (8 panels East and 6 panels West) installed end of May, all seems to be working ok. But I noticed on the portal, when flicking through graphs in MyInverters that all the PV seems to be from 1 string only when I knew there should be one for each aspect.
It turns out that the inverter dongle is not added to the portal, nor is it online.
According to the installer this was as instructed by Givenergy, it isn't needed as the kWhs are measured by a CT clamp in the gateway. Indeed when contacted Givenergy say if the inverter, gateway and AIO are on the same account it will double count the generated kWh's so they don't recommend it.
I pointed out to them that their warranty documentation is only valid if the product is commisioned online. As it has never been online, it has never been 'commissioned' so no warranty. The installer has agreed to add the inverter, on its own, to another account and commission it so that I can claim the warranty. Perhaps there are others here in the same boat.
