I seen some posts here on the community forum where people have copied/pasted what appears to be data from the GivEnergy Portal that shows time stamps seconds apart and NOT every 5 minutes like mine is, Am I missing something?
If you open the app the inverter will report to the portal more regularly for a while after.
That confused me when I was new to this too.
If you have the app open on your phone, AND it's on the same wifi as your router, the app should show it's on Home mode and update approx every ten seconds. These readings get sent to your portal, so you'll see more regular results on the charts.
However.. there is a gotcha in getting more regular readings. If you leave your phone app on the screen for much more than 12 hours, you can end up with far more data points than the web browser can display, so you get gobbledegook instead of nice charts.
For example, I accidently left it on too long the other day, and all I see now is this:
What I usually do is only leave the phone app running for specific periods of time, when I want to monitor detail; for instance, when I am cooking using electric or using another type of high-powered device to understand what is going on, or during the Flux export time of 4-7pm.
