Depth of discharge

I have a series 2 9.5 GivEnergy battery. The default min setting is 4%. Is this too low for its depth discharge.

You are fine to leave it at 4% - except when calibration is happening the protected percentage (there is probably a specific term for this) will not be available to use, whatever you set the reserved capacity to. Where reserved capacity is useful is if you have EPS (Emergency Power Supply) installed and you want to retain a percentage of the battery in case of a power cut.
