Seems the last time there was a app/software update, my 8.2 battery charges to 100% but its only 2kw?
I have tried contacting the installer to help but they seem to have closed shop. I have only just relised there was a cloud portal. im not sure what i need to do to reset or reconfigure so it will charge to its full capacity. Hope someone can help 🙂 (battery is not quite 1 year old) cheers
Do you mean the charging rate is 2kW and not the full 2.6kW? Easiest say is probably through the portal and the inverter card where you can set the max charge and discharge rates.
Thanks for the reply, The rate seems ok, its as if I now have a 2kw battery not a 8.2kw. Charges to 2kw (shows 100%) so im only using like 25% of the battery.
You used to be able to do a battery recalibration via the portal but it was recently removed so you'll have to contact Givenergy directly on support@givenergy.co.uk.

Definitely one for support to take a look at. I had a similar issue at one point, they took a look for me and one of the battery cells was out of sync with the others. A recalibration solved the issue. Just be aware that in doing so, it will dump whatever is in the battery to the grid and then charge up to the max. You might want to ask support when that suits you, if you have a cheap rate tariff for example.
Remember they did something like that when they installed the system, fingers crossed thats all it will be. Thanks!
