Battery Software Start Fai

My 3 year old inverter has worked absolutely fault lessly until 3 days ago and now I'm getting this notification.

I've tried reseting the inverter (top right hand button on the portal) and turning the power on and back off, but still nothing. The dongle seems to be connecting to the wifi and the light is flashing on the front panel but its just not inverting

I'm half and half on if the error has been mistranslated or its actually software at all though?

Battery SOFT start error - is the error you get when trying to run "fast firmware" on a Gen 1 inverter that doesn't support it.
Battery SOFTWARE start error is suspiciously similar phrasing so might be a red herring.
