Hi, apologies but I’m none technical.
Is it me or am I missing something with my inverter/battery setup?
I have a GE inverter and 7.5kw battery but it is only charging to 3000w and I can’t increase this limit in the GE app?

Are you getting confused with battery capacity in kWh and charge rate in kW?

It sounds like you might be confusing the charging rate (watts) with the capacity (kilowatt hours). It would be perfectly possible to have a seven and a half kilowatt hour battery that could only be charged at a rate of one hundred watts - albeit that would not be that useful as it would take multiple days to charge fully.
In your case your system sounds like it could charge to the full capacity in about two and a half hours. Charging at a rate of 3000 watts would allow you to add three kilowatts or three thousand watt hours after one hour of charging.

I think most batteries charge at 0.5C - e.g. a 5.2kWh battery would charge at 2.6kW.

Then add to that the spec of the inverter. If it is a 3kW inverter, it’ll only be able to charge the batteries connected to it at a max of 3kW. One battery at 3kW, two batteries sharing 3kW, etc.

There may be differences with hybrid systems, I forget the details, but the specs are available on the internet. Just google the product name and specifications.
