I have 9.5kwh battery, 10 400w panels and a gen3 inverter. All been working very well since installed (in Scotland) at the end of April 2023.
Been away over xmas and as usual monitored the inverter using the app. On xmas day I discovered that there was no battery charging or discharging. Battery level was constant at 94% (after overnight charging from the grid). All power consumed by the house was coming straight from the grid. No solar input but no sunshine anyway.
Tried a few things using the app but no change.
Back home last night so used the PC and the portal. It is constantly recording "Relay Fault". Have reset the battery to default settings several times and rebooted the inverter several times. Makes no difference.
Have tried to contact the installer (evigroup in Scotland) and Givenergy but of course they are all on holiday till after the new year.

I am aware that back in August 2023 there were many complaints on this forum about a similar fault and a distinct lack of action by Givenergy to resolve the issue. Many of the complaints were saying that all the inverters were installed in May 2023. About the same date as mine. After many serious complaints that particular topic was closed by Givenergy......... No solutions were mentioned.

Does anyone have any suggestions or further information about this fault?

Anyone got any ideas about the cause of this inverter failure?
After 4 days no change despite trying a number of things including full power restart.

Contact your installer and maybe they will have an idea or can exert some warranty pressure on GivEnergy

Just an update. Could not get EViRenewables (the installer) or Givenergy until after new year. After the holidays were over EVi reacted right away and were on site first day back. They were saying that they had not seen this issue previously and went through the same processes I had already tried. When they restarted the inverter (exactly the same as I had previousy done) it started working correctly! Nearly 2 weeks later it is still working ok but EVi have raised a ticket with Givenergy but no response yet. No doubt a larger bill coming after 10 days paying higher rates.
