I have a hybrid inverter GIV-HY5.0 with firmware version D0.309-A0.309.
Additionally 3 x 9.5 kWh batteries with firmware version 3015
I am attempting to update the battery firmware to version 3017 using GivEnergy Cloud, but on three occasions this update has failed.
Do I need to turn off the battery Eco mode to update? Is there any other issues that I need to be are off?

I had a similar problem when my battery was installed a couple of months back. It turned out to be a poor wifi signal to the dongle and so the installer hard wired to my router and all was well.
I have not been able to update my two batteries with Firmware without getting the file from GE and manually doing the installation by loading the file onto the usb inside the battery.
You could email support and ask for the file and instructions on how to do this.
I have a gen2 5Kw inverter with two 9.5Kw batteries and Lan connection. I had to get GE to send me the file for 3017 upgrade and open each battery to manually update the software as trying to upgrade via the portal or GE technical forcing the update failed several times.
