New Battery Install / Strange Historical Info

I had a Gen 1 / 8.2kW battery installed in April 2024 and later in the year decided to increase the capacity so arranged for a Gen 2 9.5kW battery, as the 8.2.kW is no longer available installed. All appears to be working well but the 8.2kW is displaying historical date for the 9.5kW and 9.5kW is displaying historical data for the 8.2kW battery when reading from the app. I can see this when, as an example, I look at the install date for the 8.2 batt which shows historical data only from the 9.5 batt install data How is this happening and to be honest I don’t know if the actual reading current readings are coming from the correct battery. I have also now noted the Battery Capacity reading is now missing from the app data for the 9.5Kw battery.
• Has anyone got a idea how this could be happening plus can anyone expand on where the historical data is stored?
• Is this on the cloud, GivEnergy servers on from the actual batteries themselves?
• Why has the battery capacity reading dropped off the app battery data?
• Could something be wired incorrectly i.e. the Com ports swapped.
• Could there be an issue of how the dip switches are set up?
o I can only see the dip switches on the Gen 2 battery and these are set to – Top Switch all off and Bottom Switch 1 and 2 on and 3 and 4 off
Appreciate any help or advice you can offer.

The inverter requires the larger battery to be first in the chain of batteries so when you had the 9.5 fitted it went in directly connected to the inverter and the 8.2 is chained off it.

This might be why your historical data is muddled up because there’s no real concept of ‘configuration over time’

The battery capacity in the app should be the combined capacity of both of your batteries chained together as that’s what the inverter now sees.

If you look in the givenergy installation guide for your inverter you can read what the dip switches do, they control which is the primary and which is the secondary. If you have a question about them I would suggest contacting your installer and not make any changes yourself.
