I know it has been very sunny the past week but my battery doesn't seem to be kicking in and I am using, albeit a small amount, of grid. Could anyone please explain why?

How much is a small amount? I tend to find that I have small amounts of usage, usually less than 0.01kWh throughout the day

Wall to wall sunshine every day and battery never dropping below a reported 70% SOC I have a grid import of between 1 and 2 kWh per week according to the mains smart meter. Nothing out of the ordinary and down to the reaction time of the system when following a constantly varying load. Interestingly the GivEnergy displayed figures for grid import show a much smaller amount, typically 0 to 0.2 kWh per week.
