All in one not discharging when it should

I have an all in one (no solar) which I charge on the Octopus Go tariff alongside my car. Everything has been running as it should for months. Then at the end of September I had Octopus install a heat pump but I decided to remain on Octopus Go and see how things went i.e would the battery cover most of my daytime use or would I be better off switching to the Cosy tariff. What I had not expected was for the battery to behave as it has. Something is overriding the battery discharge time I have set (05:30 to midnight 30) and is instead causing the house to draw on the grid until 16:30 and only from then does the battery begin to discharge. The battery charges from midnight 30 as it should and so I start the day with a full battery charged at the Octopus Go tariff but I am not getting the full benefit because it won’t discharge earlier than 16:30. Initially Give blamed what they said was an Octopus API but Octopus say it’s not them. I have tried reverting to the original battery settings and then re-entering my charge and discharge times and the house appears to run from the battery for a minute or so before reverting to the grid. Originally there was an unnamed API in the log when this whole problem began but the API no longer features but despite restarts the problem persists. Any thoughts please?

Have you looked at the remote control history using the portal and see where the commands are coming from?
Have you setup the smart tariff?

Noggin That's the sort of behaviour you could get using the timed discharge feature. Which is actually implemented using the timed pause facility, pausing discharge for the times outside of your timed-discharge window.

Originally there was an unnamed API in the log when this whole problem began

More details on this, please - it should still show which setting changed. Can you force remote control to read the settings for the timed pause.

Thanks. It just said “server” for where it was coming from. When eventually I was able to get someone from Givenergy to look at it they said that it was Octopus and that I need them to stop their automation. But Octopus seem to think it is nothing to do with them. I haven’t set up a smart tariff. When I got the battery (end 2023) I manually set my Octopus go start and end times in the App and it just worked. I don’t know what has changed.

Well some progress. You now know it is an external influence. I know nothing about these to be able to help you, because I have avoided handing over control of my kit to anyone. (I use HA and predbat and can turn it off whenever I need/want). I think there are other posts on here about finding and revoking API tokens somewhere in your portal settings. Sorry I can't help further
