Has anyone thought about setting up an alternative to this forum? One that everyone can use easily and that is not tied to yet more predatory and invasive practices like all social media sites.
At some point... this place is gonna close as the company collapses or they'll tie access to here into the monthly subscription fee... screwing the majority of customers over once more.
An alt place to hang out and ask questions and get support would be a good idea... Maybe a group of reddit to start with. I don't do corpo social media, it's toxic and bad for mental health and shouldn't be encouraged for anyone. mastodon, Lemmy are other places people could share info and ask questions if you setup and followed specific hashtags like #GiveEnergySystems.
