As per email paid uninstalled old app, installed new & paid for premium:-
1) new app display dominated by 'Battery Schedule' that I don't use - anyone know how to disappear it from display?
2) 'Smart tariff legacy' (very useful) disappeared !!!
3) No way to check Octopus Go import/export or check if still active!
4) Smacks of having been designed by for techies rather than for simplicity and clarity for basic users

Yep I updated to "premium" as well as well and like you I only use battery scheduling manually. Now have to go to menu drop down to select energy graph etc. Impressed? Not.....

Never saw the e-mail either, not a surprise with the amount of dross that's received every day, and only found out when I checked the app, with the error message that free wasn't supported any more but there was a free option to sign up to.

Now, I have a poor version of what I had, with nothing in the way of graphs and this stupid 'battery schedule' thing... does anyone understand it. Having woken this morning to a full batteryon the car, when I was expwcting 90% with a 40% charge set in the ohme app. The octopus app shows nothing used yesterday in either the 'used' or 'exported' since midnight yesterday...

Any idea if I get the 'leave it ti Octopus' like I had before if I switch to premium?

I only found out about the change to premium with an email from Axle saying they'd done a deal where you get the premium subscription for free if you're signed up to Axle. No email from Giv (I received all the previous ones about moving to a subscription model).

The new app layout is awful, I automate my battery through a 3rd party so the battery schedule at the bottom of the main screen is useless to me. Much rather have the old layout. Have left feedback via the feedback link from the web portal, but doubt anyone will read it.

Setting up & checking Octopus Go tariff

A few years ago I used the MK1 Portal, to set up Octopus Flux I followed the steps on this video from 2:07 onwards - simples!!:-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-ohTo1r_cM

Now on the MK2 Portal this simples method has been removed.
Have since switched to Octopus Go and import/export £ tariff data were still displayed.

Please confirm my understanding that case 2) below is the new status quo.

1) As per video, you still need to insert:- Account No.; MPAN; Meter Serial Number; API Key

2) stuff in 1) no longer necessary (since £ tariff data no longer processed for display)....
i.e. Octopus Go doesn't control either system or battery so GE portal/app no longer needs to be informed of either tariff or supplier

Never had an email telling how to subscribe until i logged in here. The app had updated automatically. initially confused until I explored the menues.

I think the new displays are very clear
