battery discharge

I have just completed the firmware update and it seems to have dropped my entire charge ( 2 X 8.5kwh batteries were at 80% before update,) On completion of update 1 hour later completely empty. and i only have 3.5kw inverter. Can anybody shed any light?

Some firmware updates force a full discharge for calibration, on the portal my inverter/software does it say if the update has finished or still running? Usually if they have dumped the charge, they will do a recharge automatically.

Will the batteries charge if you do a timed charge?
