Our inverter drops from green light 'go' mode to red light 'off' mode every day and sometimes several times a day. I am getting a bit tired of having to switch off the system, wait and then re-start so often. Is this a common problem and is there a simple(ish) fix other than the switch off + re-boot?

You need to check the logs in the portal (requires premium unfortunately). Solid red light means a system FAULT. Repeatedly resetting your system is unlikely to be good for it. If you don't have portal access to your logs then you will need support from someone like predsupport or SBS who have the capability of remote accessing your system and diagnosing things for you.
