Wifi - Connection to new router

Why doesn't the Giv Installer app work in changing to my new router? I am unable to change my wifi to my new router

Login to your new router and change the SSID and password to that of the old router. Everything that used to connect to the old one will now connect to the new one. May need to turn 5gHz off until Givenergy dongle connects

I agree that the easiest thing to do is to set your new router to have the same SSID and password as your old router but if you can’t or don’t want to do that for some reason then try these steps to change your inverter so it can use your new router’s network. This worked for me with a Gen 3 5.2kW inverter.

Login to inverter’s network. Will be named something like WHnnnannn

The password is -
12345678

When on the inverter’s network use a browser and this IP address -

10.10.100.254.

User name -

admin

Password -

admin

Use the STA menu to change to the WIFI settings of your new router.

DD Indeed, the only installers who would have left at 12345678 are total cowboys who ignored both the GE training and documentation.
