Hi Folks,
I've just watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tk-ON-SKB8c
If I've understood it correctly, some Aussie startup has created a box that takes DC from an EV and passes it to one of the string inputs on a pre-existing inverter. What a simple solution! No new logic or H/W needed in the car, no need for new/duplicate inverter-type logic to match converted DC to the correct waveform for the grid. All that clever bit is done by the existing inverter, all the new box does is take DC from the car and pass it to an existing system. It feels brilliant to me, similar to what Sigenergy have done but without the proprietary lock in.
What do the intelligent folk in this community think about this?
