We're wondering whether anyone would be able to offer advice as our GivEnergy 5.2 Battery + AC Coupled Inverter don't seem to be working.
It reached 100% around 4pm yesterday based on import not solar, then it immediately started powering the immersion heater. This is not supposed to happen, as our heater is only set to come on when there’s excess solar energy (not when we're importing). Then at 80% battery capacity the battery then started discharging to the grid, which is also not supposed to happen. We manually paused it for a bit when it was at 25%, but when we unpaused a few hours later it continued exporting until it reached 0%.
All 4 battery lights have been solid red since. We tried to import from the grid, but nothing happens, and now that the solar panels are producing energy, any excess energy is being exported to the grid and the battery remains at 0%.
We have tried a restart in line with the instructions on the GivEnergy website, but that hasn't appeared to have any effect.
We've emailed them, but in the meantime has anyone experienced similar?
