Set AC Inverter Charge Power to 2,600 ?

Hi, Although I have a 3kW AC inverter and the charge rate is set to 3kW should I set the 'Charge Power' to 2.6kW if that's all the battery can handle? Just worried for some reason if the inverter will pull up to 3kW from the panels but only send 2.6kW to the battery and so lose the 400w - am I being daft in my thinking?

Notes from a recent GE training course state the maximum charge/discharge rate for an AC-Coupled inverter with 5.2 kWh battery to be 3000 W.
Strange however that the hybrid inverter with the same 5.2 kWh battery is limited to 2600 W.
