Battery issue on commissioning

Faults on commissioning are…

  • Number of batteries installed X. None, 1 expected

  • Total battery capacity expected. 102 ah
    reading. 125 ah

  • Battery voltage, too low. 4.75 V

Followed all there prompts, all hardware installed correctly.

Any ideas?

Using a multi-meter (as listed as standard equipment required for commissioning by GE), I would check the DC Voltage at the battery and inverter ends of the cable, and which if any is at the required 50 Vdc nominal, and which end is at 4.75 Vdc.

You may find a connection in, for example, the DC isolator, or elsewhere on the DC side,where the clamping screw is holding the insulation rather than the conductor.

Looks like there is a break or bad connection on one of the DC cables. Usually in the DC breaker, check you havnt clamped down on the insulation (Common fault). Ideally use the provided lugs and crimp them on the cables where you cut the included cable to install the DC breaker.
